Outlaws_with handcuffs of love

LOVE... The first thing that sparks to many of us, is love between a boy and a girl... Some call it rejoicing, some point it as a cause that ruins everything...

In the California State Prison, Solano, every tagged prisoner is a sad man; with darkness filled in their eyes and hearts, worrying all the way about their past, present and future...except for, one man. Fletcher Reede, happy for what he has...

December 20th, 1989
A stunningly sophisticated woman, around 25yrs, dressed in a designer fit Bi-stretch black blazer, walked in gracefully with two very well built body guards. She entered the prison and finished up the formalities with ease. She looked comfortable with the prison formalities as this was not her first visit. She met Fletcher and had a chat with him for about an hour and, then left.

At dinner time, in the prison when everyone around was having their food with their co-prisoners, Max, a robbery convict and a friend of Fletcher in the prison sat down for dinner.

After talking for a while, Max asked Fletcher with great interest, "Buddy, I was wondering...since the time I came here, that black suit woman is visiting you once every couple of weeks. Even most of the dear ones don’t do that. So, what’s up with her? Is she ur wife??”
With a proud smile, Fletcher said, "She is the MD of Gordon's Jewelers’, not my wife, and she has been visiting me the same way just not for an year but for the last 6 years".

Max was astonished, "MD of Gordon's and coming here!!!" and asked Fletcher for the details of what it was all about.

"Her name is Sarah Pierce. She comes all the way from NY, once every two weeks just to see me, because, I love her and she loves me!!"

Max replied, “In her hectic schedule, she comes all the way just for u..? She is really awesome and u r the luckiest guy, I have ever seen...!”
But, at the back of his mind, Max was thinking, “how foolish, a girl well sophisticated like Sarah is to wait and love a lame, dumb guy who is in a prison for so long.”

Days passed by and after a few months, one night, Max came to Fletcher. It was Max’s last night in the prison. Next day, he was out with a recommendation to Gordon's jewelers’ from Fletcher and was on his way to NY to meet Sarah, for a job.

July 1st, 1990
Max was at the main gate of the 3 storied, Sarah's exotic mansion at NY. With dazzled looks, he entered with the recommendation in hand. He met Sarah in her picturesque garden...

In their conversation, Max felt instantly at ease with Sarah for her friendliness and thought this was the right moment to clear his doubts and why she was so foolishly in love with a murder convict.

"Fletcher had told about you, you r a great woman and he is really the luckiest guy to be loved by a person like u!!” he started.

With dissent gesture, she said, "No, I am the luckiest woman, because of his love and I am living just for him".

“What is so special about Fletcher?” Max thought to himself for a while...and with an irresistible tone said, "Sarah! U r a pretty rich woman while Fletcher is lame, with nothing in waiting for him. But u visit him every two weeks and u have been waiting for him for 6 years... What is it, that’s driving you?"

Sarah took a long breath, "Dear Max, the only force that drives me is the love of Fletcher. You have to know about what he is, if u want to know what I am.........and I was not what I am...” and started to share her past.

September 16th, 1978 at around 10:00pm
Fletcher, was on his couch in his apartment, watching with great interest, about the great diamond robbery from Alfred museum in the city, on the television news. He heard a loud bang from the kitchen balcony. Suddenly, out of nowhere a woman in black jacket, with an enfield revolver broke down the back door and in a flash, pointed the revolver at Fletcher. Fletcher, was in a dream like state, had nothing to say but was just staring at her. Not just with the fear but with the mesmerizing charm of the girl, which hit his heart in an instant. He just sat there staring and staring at her...

She then started to speak, "I am one of the robbers involved in today's diamond robbery. I have to hide myself for sometime, until our leader intimates us. So, I am gonna stay here for a few days. Are u fine with that??"...her voice sounded rough.
But, nothing has affected him. He said a clear, yes!!!

She even restricted Fletcher from going out even for his work.

2 days passed by, with Fletcher, cooking and serving her.

September 18th, 1978 at 12am
The lady was sleeping in her room, when Fletcher slowly, opened the door and went towards the lady's bed....and in low voice, he said, "Its my birthday today and I have no friends tonight to celebrate with.. So can u please come up to have my cake...?”

Surprisingly, she came. He took her to the rooftop of the apartment. In the calm silver shine of the full moon, he spread the orange shine, on the cake with the candle and cut the cake after he blew the one candle...Then she wished him, and had her cake and just as she was about to leave, Fletcher whispered, "Excuse me!!"and she then turned around to face him.

Fletcher said, "I lied to u, to reveal a truth to u!!"..

In astonishment, she asked, "What’s the lie and what’s the truth...?”

Fletcher cleared his throat and said, "The lie is...today is not my birthday....I lied, just to be with the silver shine of the moon and the orange shine of the candle, in the cool breeze with u, and the truth is, I revealed the lie, for not that I am afraid, but only because, I love you!!” he kneeled before her, with a rose in his hand...and expressed his love.

The lady had only one thing to ask him...."Do u know my name, Fletcher??"...
He said....No!!

She went off to her room...saying,” My name is Sarah Pierce!! And now u just know my name .."

Fletcher was upset and went into his room and was crying, while having his beer ..

September 18th, 1978, around 3:00am
Everything was calm. Sarah was calm, and sleeping. Fletcher was sober now with his beer. When Sarah’s mobile rang... it was her boss on the line, ordering her to be at Thomson’s cafe by 3.30am.

In addition to that, her boss also ordered to kill Fletcher, as he was the only man, aware of Sarah’s face and identity.

After the call, she sat for 2 minutes on her bed and without any hesitation, took her revolver and headed towards Fletcher's room. Sarah lost no time. She shot him, three times and was gone..

September 18th, 1978, 11:00am
Fletcher woke up. He was in the hospital, with his neighbors’ looking on, who rushed to save him, after they heard the gun shots.

From then, he would just see only the darkness of the black, in everything. His life was colorless. The once happy Fletcher, turned out to be a sad Fletcher...with distraction, devastation, destruction, and disturbance....

Days passed by, just the same way for Fletcher. But after an year, on the way back home, he saw Sarah racing off in a car.

He couldn’t resist himself and followed her, to a forest on the outskirts of the city. He followed her into the woods, and saw her get down the car and walk towards a lady. She was speaking with the woman. Fletcher was waiting in his car, for her to finish so that he could talk to her. Then suddenly, there was a deep cry of the lady. Fletcher turned back and saw the woman droop to the ground and Sarah holding the gun.

"OMG!! Sarah killed her!!”, he yelled in his heart.

The deep cry of the lady alerted the guards around in the forest and they started running towards Sarah and started shooting at her. Sarah started running towards her car when, two bullets pierced Sarah’s left leg and she dropped to the ground in pain.

The irresistible Fletcher ran towards her, loosing no time and picked her up and carried her to his car, then placed her in the seat and started driving out of the woods. And, hence invited a great chase from the guards...

He managed to get into the city, took Sarah’s jacket and wore it to mislead the cops and then pushed her at a hospital gate. He kept driving, trying to escape the guards. But unfortunately for him, he was outrun by the cops and got busted, for the woman’s murder.

The judging panel left no leaf unturned in sentencing Fletcher the most rigorous punishments for killing a woman. Fletcher dint deny, but openly accepted the crime.

Max heard the entire story and went speechless. He started wondering about Fletcher's deeds. He finally said, "I never imagined this from Fletcher, I cant say anything but just bow to him..!!"

After a few seconds, Max asked again, "So, what happened then?? How did u become the MD of such a great company, from a murderer??"

"When I heard that Fletcher was convicted for the murder I committed and was sentenced to prison, I ran to meet him. When I met him, he faced me with a loving smile and said that he was too lucky to get a chance of doing something for me. I had no words to ask or say to him...” Tears filled her eyes..

"Even then, he never asked me to love him, but he just asked me to leave the dark life and to do something good. From then, with the little knowledge I had about gems and diamonds, I applied and got selected for a job in this company. Fletcher, taught me everything I needed to be successful and to be what I am now...". She stopped.

After 5 years...Fletcher met Sarah...

Loving is not about answering, whether it rejoices or ruins. But it’s loving the loving heart, even if it makes you touch the heaven or drags you all the way down to hell...forever…..
